Received as a Christmas gift. My husband got this for me from the UK because he had read such favorable reviews he knew it would be a book I would want before it ever got printed in the US. He was right! I haven't even cooked from it yet but i absolutely love the author's style of writing (yes, it's a reading book as well as a cooking book!) There are so many beautiful recipes.. can't wait to dig in! Photos are lovely as well. Happy to just keep this one on the coffee table for a while just to enjoy
Khazana is a treat for the eyes and imagination. Loved reading each and every description (personal or historical) before the recipe starts. You can just tell how much love and time went into creating this beautiful book. Khazana provides Mesmerizing photography next to detailed step by step instructions. Perfect amalgamation of historical and modern and East and West. Im at awe how Saliha has combined such varied textures and flavors such as grapes with cumin seeds and paneer. She brings in ancient flavors and creats a contemporary twist. I simply cannot wait for more books by Saliha.
This book has so much artistic value on top of the great recipes that it makes a perfect gift for both food and art lovers. From the food stand point it has some really wonderful ideas and I can't wait to start trying them one by one.
I really liked the design of the book and the fact there was a note introducing the history behind each recipe. It made you feel more engrossed in the recipe that followed. Highly recommended.
